Class Monitor

Guys, Its that time of the day again.Yes its the time to elect or select a Class Monitor. Did I said selected?.

I can't remember now whether the Class Monitor, during my primary school
days, were selected or elected. But what I did remembered, it was a tough
fight among us all. Weeks before the big day, we would jostled for a
place to be shortlisted. Our class teacher would be the man or woman
that held the power, It was him or she that we must impressed.

The criteria for the position:

a. Leadership : He must be popular, the guiding beacon for all of us to follow,
upright,pre-eminent in his studies.
b. Cleanliness : No sloppiness always smart in appearance, clean from money
politics, no back stabbing cause the blood would dirtied the floor
oops sorry but that's another story.
c. Friendliness : Must be fair to all, well disposed and kindly.

d. Trustworthy : Reliable and able to carry out the responsibilities

Oh well... all the qualities that I've mentioned, wish I could said that
of our so called leaders now..! Wait a minute aren't those were only for the class monitor, what about the prefect?.OK I will save that story for another
day.

Punishment

During my primary school days, I had always regard one of my Bahasa Melayu teacher as a man whom I admired and respected. He had this flair when he taught us our very own Bahasa Melayu.

Until one day,I could not fathom the reason why, but he did caned me
and others ,and the excruciating pain that ran through my body, could still be remembered to this day.

It left me dumbstruck and utterly rebellious with the punishment that was melted to us
for the small mistake that we had done. But it was at the time when you would never get any support from anybody, not even your parent. It was a heaven for sadist then.

But today all hell will break loose.

Nostalgia

Did you ever remembered your first day at school. Yeah, that can of memory keep on flashing through my mind lately.

Fortunately, I can vaguely visualise the scene, yes I do. There I were, at my tiny table ,holding it tightly so as not to let it go,that's because another boy, besides me, wanted to reallocate himself at the very place I sat. The teacher was no where to be seen ,he was rocking my chair hard and I were shouting my head off then suddenly everything were quiet and there he was, I saw my father was outside the class room at the corridor waving a warning finger at my neighbour. After a while when we all had settled down, the boy asked "who is the Chinese man" and I said "No he is not he is my father".
