Significance of Names
Since history began, the Chinese always believed in the significance
of one's name. They have developed a very comprehensive system of
naming one's children as it is believed that the name of a person
strongly influences one's destiny and fate. Astrologers, fortune
tellers, academics and monks are consulted when choosing a name for
the new born. The other cultures, however do not really believe in it
and tend to brush it off as superstition. Whether you believe it or
not, however, the other cultures are not spared of this correlation.
For example, the Chinese surname LEE (or LI) is associated with power
and success such as Lee Kuan Yew, Lee Teng Hui (former Taiwan
President), Li Peng ( China 's ex PM), Li Ka Shing (HK tycoon) and LEE
Iacocca - once Chrysler's chief, and Lee Van Cliff, the actor.
One very good example is Lee Iacocca, whose first nameIACOCCA stands for:
I
Am
Chairman
Of
Chrysler
Corporation
America
Coincidence? ..........
Look at the following familiar examples:
MAHATHIR ( Malaysia 's PM):
My
Assets
Halved
After
The
Hit
In
Ringgit !
SUHARTO (Ex president ofIndonesia) :
Should
U
Have
Additional
Rupiahs,
Throw
Out!
BUSH (American President) :
Beat
Up
Saddam
Hussein !
CLINTON :
Call
Lewinsky,
I
Need
The
Oral
Now !
However, no one can beat this latest casualty in bad naming :
OSAMA:
Oh
Shit,

You must read to believe and see
Well guys, the date for our GE is near so lots of thing comes out for you to ponder.......!
Oh man, I love this country
I called it the land of political absurdity
Full of ludicrousness amid stupidity
First in the pipeline is Mr. Badawi
The country's fifth Perdana Menteri
Hailed from notable ulama's family
In that spirit he created a new Islam Hadhari
The so-called modern Islam resembling Turkey
Some touted it as Islam Ada Hari
When the original Islam turned awry.
He loves to travel in style like big celebrity
Making grand entrance in any opportunity
So he insisted a private jet paid by Treasury
He got it despite hullabaloo by bloggers community
He said the government didn't purchase it out rightly
The government is leasing it from SPM, a GLC
For him, this is a good strategy
By doing that he thinks he can save money
Oh yeah, he thinks people believe his story.
Perth seems to be his favourite city
Last December he opened Nasi Kandar Puteri
And then went on sailing trip with Todt of Ferrari
Back home worst flood hit Johor Kota Tinggi
17 died and 90,000 evacuated in that tragedy
But yet, the jet setting PM was outside the country
He might use remote control key.
Badawi has son-in-law by the name of Khairy
He married Badawi's daughter Nori
Recently both blessed with the baby
That has longest name in the country
I can only remember the last name, Khairy
This young chap is Pemuda Umno deputy
Claimed to have "protection" from Mr. Badawi
Has a big wish to be PM by age of forty
So he is gathering support from Putera and Puteri
At the same time accumulated wealth aggressively
Through ECM Libra and some crony
Media was at his helm through NST
Now he has potent tools – money, media and machinery
And his father-in-law alias Perdana Menteri
Meanwhile Hisham is putting up a new strategy
His keris wielding attracts flak of Malay supremacy
It backfires especially to Chinese community
His reasoning draws conclusion that he is puny
Najib is not convince Hisham to be his deputy
Najib may consider a big mouth Nazri
Provided that Rosmah is okay to work with Nazri
You know why lah, Najib takut bini.
We don't have to elaborate the story
You have to come here to enjoy the absurdity
We have quite a few funny ministers and MP
Such as hilarious Work Minister Mr. Samy
Before Hindraf he represents Indian community
The longest serving minister that heads MIC
In press conference he got agitated quite easily
When Umno conference was held on Deepavali
He said no "open house" as sign of hostility
He twisted the decision maybe after talking to Indrani
This MIC leaders share similar trait and personality
The latest one was Cameron Highland MP Mr. Devamani
He has broken ranks with fellow BN MP
When he accused government not doing enough for Indian community
After meeting with BN Whip, he regretted and say sorry.
Let me continue my story
Well, you probably have heard it already
About the biggest anti-government rally
Not exactly same scale as 98 Reformasi
On Nov 10 more than 40,000 flooded the city
To protest unfair election practice against EC
Dirty ruling party tactics are legendary
Short-notice on Election Day is customary
Just a day before Pak Lah was basking in glory
In annual affair of UMNO general assembly
Full of hypocrisy and puji-memuji
Pak Lah shouted it loud "don't challenge me"
Despite threats and warning from Pak Lah and Khairy
People are defiant and take no heed from Badawi
They chanted God is Great, Daulat Tuanku and Reformasi
November is a month of illegal assembly
School holidays thus parents are quite free.
The rally was given wide publicity
The rally was headlined in Al Jazeera and BBC
Foreign media questioned our brand of democracy
Water cannon and tear gas were fired indiscriminately
Umno leaders are in denial state naturally
Such as Zam who head the Info Ministry
Zam was trembling uncharacteristically
In an interview that becoming laughing stock in the country
Scrambling for words and chew out frantically
He can't censor it as we are in digital technology
You can just Google or YouTube easily.
Well that is one example of political absurdity
What do you expect from half past six menteri
Some are in complete ignorance and dreary
Some will resort to unthinkable publicity
Giving broom as reward never in history
Some will slaughter cows in parliament for kenduri
To celebrate the matrimony of our own Sleeping Beauty
Another stupid joke by backbencher MPs.
You can't find this in your country
A journalist like Michael Backman will agree
So many things to write for your Daily
No wonder he keeps coming here for juicy story
Malay tabloids prefer to write about ghost and celebrity
That's saleable among ordinary
Maybe they got sick of constant spat by political party
They prefer to idolise people like Siti or Mawi
Do you think they care who is their MP?

How to bankrupt the nation, Malaysian style
From a friend of a friend
I refer to the local daily on 31st Dec 2007 quoting , our DPM
saying "The opposition's promises to reduce oil prices if it were to
form a government will only bankrupt the country".
Datuk Seri DPM, I would like to share with you on the same subject on
bankrupting the nation on a bigger perspective. I came from a very
poor family. My mother who lost her husband at the age of 35 years old
had never remarried but maintained the role of a father and mother in
a house. With having no land, no education and a meager income of
RM145 dollars a month, we came out of poverty simply because of mother
persistence and pressure that we must work to better ourselves.
My mother serves the role of the financial manager at home, managing
cash flow and debt. On several occasion we had to borrow a bag of rice
or flour but it she makes a point of repaying back. How does she goes
about and bringing up 4 successful children despite the poor financial
knowledge. The one that she thought me is to make the most out of a
Ringgit.
In this context, I can say the present government financial, purchases
policy and contract actually is the one that will bankrupt the nation.
The government is effectively paying RM 3 for something that cost RM1
when in actual fact by virtue of volume, it could get it at the price
of 80 cents. Let us look at the major transaction that took place in
the last couple of years
a. Purchase of Sukhoi Jets using an intermediary company belonging to
former Malacca Chief Minister - RM 1.8 bill. I was informed by the
company staff (Nor) , who's also the Dato key person that the company
made a clean profit of RM 900 mill of which is distributed to various
funds held by UMNO top people. Logic will tell you that, in the
history of this country military purchases it has always been on G to
G basis and not trough a private entity who has no expertise except
being a middle man. In any country it is the same. Don't give a cock
and bull story that the supplier is giving the commission and they are
the one who insist that they used an intermediary. We have the money,
if we tell the supplier we only deal with principal, they will follow
- those with money are Kings. They are the one calling the shots. When
we can buy 24 aircraft, we just buy 12 and we include other mumbo
jumbo's in the package.
b. Purchase of submarine. Again the same argument applies.
c. RMN ships - We spent RM4.5 bill but where are the ships. How come
money is being paid to builder who has no experience and it cost 3
times more than buying direct in overseas. In actual fact only 2 ships
were built and money for 6 ships has been paid. From what I gather in
the media, the documents pertaining to this payments has disappeared
at the company level as well as at Ministry of Finance level. What a
coincidence.
d. MAS share purchase. Mahathir one says " Melayu mudah lupa". .. well
Tun .. sorry to say not all Melayu has short memory. The government
paid RM8.00 per share for 30% share that is held by Tajuddin Ramli
when the prevaling market price is RM3.50. First of all the government
is the golden shareholder in the company which has certain powers as
dictated by the share holder agreement. There wasn't a need to pay
RM8.00 for a company with NAV of less than RM1.00 (at that time). Even
if has to accumulate enough share to effectively control the company,
they should have bought from the various government related agencies
like EPF who has 20% shares and other agencies like LTAT and the from
the general public. When the prevaling market price is RM3.50, I think
if the government offer RM5.00 every single citizen who hold shares in
the company will sell the share to them. Instead they chose to pay
RM8. What a joke.
Mr. DPM, I believe before we can claim that others will bankrupt the
nation, the government of the day must examine its own records. It has
clearly shown that it is in the process of bankrupting the nation with
a one sided agreement with Toll concessionaires and other contract's.
What I have mention is only the Tip of the Iceberg. What intrigues me
is that when the DG Audit can pick up purchases of cameras and other
small things but they failed to look at bigger purchases.

Between you & me
I don’t give two hoots about mega projects but I do care about the increasing price of goods at my local market.
I don’ give two hoots about our man in outer space but I do care about the rationing of my cooking oil.
I don’t give two hoots about your luxurious yacht but I do care about my children school fee.
I don’t give two hoots about your airplane but I do care about the raising cost of my children bus fare.
I don’t give two hoots about your minister sex scandal but I do care about the raising crime rate.
I don’t give two hoots about your man‘s wife saga but I do care about the diminishing size of my “roti prata”

The Friday Sermon Part II
Well guys , its not exactly the actual Friday sermon in the mosque but in the evening after the maghrid prayer. That friday afternoon I received a SMS from our dear old friend Pei Ah Chong inviting me to Madah Madrasah for a tazkirah and following that will be the normal free food in the “dulang”. That’s Ah chong I knew, and every time if there were interesting happenings at his Madrasah he would sent me an invitation to attend. And as for me, free food and some alternative quality entertainment, I will go anywhere even to Timbuktu.
This time an interesting character was invited to give the tazkirah , its Datuk Seri Anuar Ibrahim, I have never meet and see this guy in person, so that night I was surprised to see him in this humble surrounding. What can I say about him, in pinnacle of his career I doubt that he knew where Madrasah Madah was and I had always heard that he was jet setting to America, Europe and UK in an Armani suit and people would put out a red carpet to welcome him but now his driver was asking me how to get to a Dewan in Kg. Koh.
Let us go back to the topic that he talked that night, its about “Kuasa, Ilmu and Kekayaan” which I presume that he have all the three within his grasped at one time. He went to say that these three, in the right hand will bring good to the people and also in the wrong hand will cause a disaster to the country. Politician, they can talk about anything they want but what’s in my mind at that moment was, what have he done? when he’s up there with all the three, power, knowledge and richness in his hand okay he’s not the number one but what have he done for the ummah.
He also explained about the video clip of him having a” veil veil” session during one of the by-elections but he did not delved in the “joket” session that he had some time ago. He talked about people who told thousand of lies , but what about the arsenic poisoning that he supposed to have in prison , what about the video that showed him well and running about but when he was out of the door he had to be helped walking.
Hippocrates that is what they are !!!!

Points to ponder
Got it from a friend of a friend......
What Happens in Heaven ?
I dreamt that I went to Heaven and a Malaikat was showing me around.
We walked side-by-side inside a large workroom filled with Malaikats.
My Malaikat guide stopped in front of the first section and
said, "This is the Receiving Section. Here, all petitions to Allah
said in prayer are received."
I looked around in this area, and it was terribly busy with so many
Malaikats sorting out petitions written on voluminous paper sheets
and scraps from people all over the world.
Then we moved on down a long corridor until we reached the second
section.
The Malaikat guide then said to me, "This is the Packaging and
Delivery Section. Here, the graces and blessings the people asked for
are processed and delivered to the living persons who asked for them."
I noticed again how busy it was there. There were many Malaikats
working hard at that station, since so many blessings had been
requested and were being packaged for delivery to Earth.
Finally at the farthest end of the long corridor we stopped at the
door of a very small station. To my great surprise, only one Malaikat
was seated there, idly doing nothing. "This is the Acknowledgement
Section," my Malaikat friend quietly admitted to me. He seemed
embarrassed "How is it that there's no work going on here?" I asked.
"So sad," the Malaikat guide sighed. "After people receive the
blessings that they asked for, very few send back acknowledgments".
"How does one acknowledge Allah's blessings?" I asked.
"Simple," the Malaikat answered. "Just say, "Thank you, Allah."
"What blessings should they acknowledge?" I asked.
"If you have food in the refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof
overhead and a place to sleep you are richer than 75% of this
world. "If you have money in the bank, in your wallet, and spare
change in a dish, you are among the top 8% of the world's wealthy.
"And if you get this on your own computer, you are part of the 1% in
the world who has that opportunity."
Also .....
"If you woke up this morning with more health than illness .. You are
more blessed than the many who will not even survive this day.
"If you have never experienced the fear in battle, the loneliness of
imprisonment, the agony of torture, or the pangs of starvation .. You
are ahead of 700 million people in the world.
"If you can attend a mosque meeting without the fear of harassment,
arrest, torture or death you are envied by, and more blessed than,
three billion people in the world.
"If your parents are still alive and still married .. You are very
rare.
If you can hold your head up and smile, you are not the norm, you're
unique to all those in doubt and despair."
Ok, what now? How can I start?
If you can read this message, you just received a double blessing in
that someone was thinking of you as very special and you are more
blessed than over two billion people in the world who cannot read at
all.
Have a good day, syukur and count your blessings, and if you want,
pass this along to remind everyone else how blessed we all are.
Attn: Acknowledge Dept.: "Thank You Allah! Thank you Allah, for
giving me the ability to share this message and for giving me so many
wonderful people to share it with".
