The thing I should do

There are saying by Morrie Schwartz

I think so many of us are too hard on ourselves for what we didn’t accomplish or what we should have done. The first step is to forgive yourself for all the things you didn’t do that you should have and all the things that you did do that you shouldn’t have. Get rid of the guilt. Negative feelings don’t do you much good. The way to deal with them is to forgive yourself and forgive others.

From a friend with a nice poem

Us and Them
And after all we're only ordinary men
Me and You
God only knows it's not what we would choose to do

Forward!!! he cried from the rare
and the front rank died
And the General sat, and the lines on the map moved from side to side
Black and Blue
And who knows which is which and who is who
Up and Down
And in the end it's only round and round and round

Haven't you heard it's a battle of Words the poster bearer cried
Listen son, said the man with the gun
There's room for you inside
Down and Out

It can't be helped but there's a lot of it about
With, without
And who'll deny it's what the fighting'g all about

Out of the way!!! it's a busy day
I've got things on my mind

For want of the price of tea and a slice of bread
The old man died.....................................

GO FORTH AND SEEK THE OPPORTUNITY , GO GO YOU IGNORANT MALAY GO!

Yes, true we Malays are always trying find faults where we ourselves can change the situation. I am hundred percent behind that remark, guys. We can change the situation when we want to but...........there are always two sides of a coin........."Heads",I am not worry about that but "Tail" when you you are spinning up its Okay but "lumrah alam" there are always people who have not the opportunity,to look around to see and ask what is there for them, even it right under their noses, they just can't see these things and its THESE PEOPLE THAT NEED HELP,we have to nurture them to see these opportunity and its base on my experience, working for the "Biro Ibu Ibu tunggal and Anak Anak Yatim of Masjid Nasriah Simpan Empat,.....".

Tell these "ibu ibu tunggal" that there are opportunity out there, forget about your six to eight school going children, their food, their clothing, their everyday needs, their house rents, their bills ,GO FORTH AND SEEK THE OPPORTUNITY , GO GO YOU IGNORANT MALAY ..........................GO.!!!!!!

I am not angry, Its just that I want people to understand less people forget, not all of us are capable to decipher whats out there, believe me not all of us have that capability.

Why the agravation with the present situation

It does not matter to me, who govern our country and still I don't care how well an individual do with his life while running the country but I do give two hoots about the state of the our economy, about us losing our self respect, also about how well we run our country and its about the society in general.

Its about our freedom of speech, its about our respect for the present leadership, its about the wrongs that had been carry out by them that we want them to correct it before its too late. Its about our believe in the system and our concern for our future generation.

Don't let me be angry, you would not like me when I am angry!!!

From the cyberspace:

Nur Jazlan Mohamed, a colleague of Khairy, said he welcomed more debate in Parliament as long as it did not touch on sensitive issues such as race.

Lawmakers must know their limits, he said. "They must also be very careful what they say as not to make the other races, especially Malays, angry," he said.

Pouring our heart out on the Piggy issues

Taj,

I have the same feeling about your PS below but have to give them a little time to come out from the shock of winning….

Azhar Haron......................Wrote

At last ada someone have the sense of humor….I thought we are going into another distress session of BN/PR. Anyway on the piggy issues, when refer to Toyo blog, he claimed that approval only given to the study of modernization of the Miss Piggy farm, not to approval to the modernization. So approval to the RM100M farm is via Teresa and MB Selangor. Its in printed form, so sue him if he tell lies. I feel MB is compelled to make the partner happy. But why worry, was never in my diet anyway…

Muhktar Ibrahim ..................Wrote:

If I am not mistaken…….it was also the same at Bah Soon Pah Camp. Luckily our intake did not have time to go through the area though…..and if Spore still practices rearing pigs today…by now Spore will be like Bukit Pelandok…..

We, the tiffies, used to live beside pig farms back in collingwwod and it was dreadful indeed, now i wonder how did we managed running around the football field with all that stench. The fact of the matter is, BN is a bloody sore loser. If PR had stopped it, they would shout to the media and rubbishing PR and the same goes by just carrying out what had been approved, BN still rubbishing PR.It's because the BN is shouting out so loud trying to put the blame on PR irrespective whether PR had decided to carry on or not.

Abdul Manan Zainal wrote:

Guys ,

What to fight for . Whether it BN or PR, the thing is we should oppose the idea of pig rearing in Malaysia because of the many hazards. BN might have start the project but then PR should have stop it then PR will be more respected.

Chain Email

Got this in the world wide web and in all honesty I did participated in forwarding the said E mail or SMS, now it made you think twice to do it again.

Assalamualaikum wbt

Pernah tak dapat sms atau email sebegini ?

Yaasin, Walqura-nilhakim. Innakala minalmursalin. A'lasiratil mustaqim.
Tanzilal azizirrahim. Litunziraqaumamma unzila aba uhum fahum ghafilun.

Kirim surah Yaasin ini kpd 7 insan berugama islam. Insya Allah esok saudara

ini kali kedua through email plak.

Hentikan lah apa2 saja
surat bercorak surat berantai ini. Kerana ini adalah perkara2 yg
boleh melemahkan umat Islam dari dalam..

Lalu aku terus reply kpd si pemberi tadi agar berhenti berbuat
demikian.

1) Once, kita forward email @ SMS sebegini, kita dah percaya

Bapa = father.
Saya khuatir ia mahu menyelindungkan ayat
AWAS!
buat semua muslim!.

Pesanan ringkas saya,

Apa saja yang bersifat surat berantai, tolong tolak.

Apa saja yang melibatkan perkara2 shortcut, tolong tolak. kalau saya
send sms dapat pahala, kalau sata reply dapat rezeki. Ini perkara
serious, kerana ia membabitkan AQIDAH!

Apa saja yang melibat kan ayat2 Al-Quran.
Tolong semak!

derma kat sorang pakcik tu!!

Kat sekeliling kita dah banyak org cuba pesong kan AQIDAH kita secara
halus, pesong ayat Quran! Walaupun mereka takkan mampu menghapuskan
KALAM ALLAH ini. Tapi kita sebagai umat ISLAM mestilah Peka!!

Ayat2 Al-Quran bukanlah selayaknya di perjual beli. TAK semurah itu
BEB!!

So ape lagi
send le kat 7 org ke, 70 ribu orang pun takpe..

Yang baik dari Allah. Segala kekurangan adalah kelemahan saya
juga.......WASSALAM.

A Friend

I did not know how to say this but I feel very sad for losing a friend but Allah Taala have already planned this for him. Innalillahi wa inna ilaihi raji'un.

Our friend Allahyarham Mohd Yusuf Bin Ahmad passed away at 1305 pm in
Manjung Hospital yesterday and was buried at the Manjung Muslim cementry,
Manjung phase 3, that afternoon at 1800 pm.

He was one of our group that never failed to go for the Friday's prayer together. And as a routine, we would gathered at the Teluk Muroh, in Gerai Kak Lai for our lunch before the friday's prayer. And as usual when there is a bunch of ex Navy personnel around and together, the decibels reading would abnormally raised to a very high level and the loudest was always our allahyarham , may god bless him. Alfatihah.

Qoutable Qoute

He Has All Those Qualities?

I used to laughed at Gus Dur because he did not looked like he knew what he was doing, angry at George Bush for his lies and deceptions, disgusted at Marcos for accumulating wealth that belong to his rakyat, Howard and Blair for acting like puppy dogs... I guess now I have to laugh at myself for having a PM with all those qualities... -

The Friday Sermon Part III

*Note this my closing shot just before we put our future in the hand of whom we chosed on that fateful day, the 8 March 2008 the 12th General Election.

Salam Guys

This is not an official Friday sermon that we will be going to have today but its an interesting article that I come across in the internet. So here it goes , maybe it will guide us as we go to the polling booth tomorrow....

Tepuk dada tanya IMAN.

Wassalam.

Post Election Drips

From a friend:

My Parting Shot (cos I am not bothered until the next election)

Troops,
The following are my observations post elections. They represent not only my thoughts but also my aspirations in the future at least till the next election. Lets share.

1. The Penang UMNO came out on the streets and had a "perhimpunan". The perhimpunan was held to protest Guan Eng's dismissal of the NEP. If it was held when the BN was in power it would have been termed "demonstrasi" thus it is haram. Funny how the press change the word to reflect 'BN's right to demonstrate". Guan Eng didnt say he would abolish the NEP. The press said that. He said that ALL govt tenders will be an "open tender". The press (since they belong to BN) put a spin to it. Where were UMNO when they had the most no of ADUN in 1998 and yet gave the CM post to Gerakan???? UMNO were reduced to Balik Pulau since 1978. Dont tell me UMNO didnt realise that. Our friend Halim can give us a better picture I am sure. Sounds like ....its ok for BN to push me aside but not anybody else......
Oh by the way....the demonstrations were peaceful right??? Therefore no water cannons no swinging of the batons by the FRU....no "agent provocateur"......But remember HINDRAF, BERSIH????? That says a lot about our policeman doesnt it. AND the racially slant fiery speeches.....Two months ago there will be calls for ISA, seditious act and god knows what else will be said by the TV and newspapers.
This is what I meant by UMNO not playing on a level playing field. The police, judiciary, the other govt agencies MUST be allowed to act independently....
2. Perak MB issue. Thank God the Sultan of Perak is a learned man. He wouldnt mind to have a chinese MB. The UMNO in Perak made a lot of representations (mostly at the State Secretariat building). They only state that it was embedded in the Perak's constitution. It clearly shows that the new govt can change or edit the constitution.....then what??? My translation is.....be prepared for change.....
3. Perlis MB and Terengganu MB issue. Even in victory UMNO is still quarelling!!!! Have a guess what they are quarrelling about? Or lets put it in another way......Is the outcome going to benefit the rakyat?
4. Where is KJ??? Very quiet. Surprise surprise. I bet he knew that the PKR candidate he lost to in Rembau is waiting for the results to be gazetted. That guy is going to petition the SPR. KJ lost not only in the first count. He lost it in the second count as well. Then......a Pos Laju van appeared....and the rest is a foregone conclusion. And I was told tomorrow he will be a FULL minister no less. Other possibilities: NTR will take over KDN, Hishamuddin takes Defence. KJ could well be tasked with JKR. Wow that great....he has been collecting TOLL ever since he became SIL.
5. Khir Toyo asked the new Selangor MB when will water rates go down. Khalid told him in no uncertain terms......April. It will only cost the govt RM11M per month. Selangor can afford it he says. Khir Toyo shut himself up.

Ok troops....I could go on and on. But I am sure you guys are just as good as me if not better off in terms of being aware of the situation right now. All I am saying is ISLAM has taught us to be fair. In order to be fair get both sides of the story. Then figure it out. Observe. Learn. We dont have to belong to any party, because at the end of the day that is not what ALLAH is going to ask you. So dont bother to champion any party.....just take it with a pinch of salt and lets meet up for teh tarik and TALK COCK again as usual........

PRU 12 Campaign

From a friend : An appeal

Dear Oppos,

It is true that there are things that we Malaysians should be proud of, and be thankful for. It is equally true that many things are not well in our country. They have not been well for some time now. Matters of

a. safety and security,
b. price hikes, education,
c. issues of equal opportunities and equal treatment,
d. constriction of various forms of freedom,
e. marginalisation of several segments of society,
f. the failing justice system, corruption in the public sector,
g. the rising denial syndromes,
h. the arrogance of wrongdoers nourished by their repeated ability to get off
scot-free,
I. and the numbness of the public reaction towards misdeeds and the lack of
accountability, just to describe a few.

Many of the ills that we complain about in our society are the symptoms of the underlying causes. Some of the major root causes are:

(a) epidemic corruption in a system that does little to prohibit or redress it,
(b) lack of a system of transparency and accountability,
(c) the suppression of various freedoms so as to turn a silent majority into a
silenced majority,
(d) a Government that is more interested in commanding than serving,
(e) a Parliament whose overwhelming majority cares more about power-consolidation
than nation-building, and
(f) a weak “last bastion” in the form of a failing justice system.

Can things be allowed to go on this way? Can we afford to do so? Should our future generations suffer the consequences of our permissiveness?

It is quite obvious that we need a better Government and a better Parliament.

But that will not happen if we, the citizens of Malaysia, do little more than blaming the Government and criticizing our Members of Parliament. It is we who put our MPs in the Parliament. It is we who must take the ultimate responsibility. The buck stops at each and every one of us.

My earnest appeal to everyone is therefore as follows:

(i) discuss the need for a better Parliament and a better Government, with your
family members, colleagues, friends and persons close to you;

(ii) make it a point to go and vote in the next election, and to vote for change and
for betterment;

(iii) discard the notion or excuse that your single vote will not matter;

(iv) discard the notion or excuse that politics is dirty and all politicians are the
same, and therefore that there is no point in voting;

(v) influence and encourage as many of your family members, colleagues, friends and
persons close to you as possible, to come out and vote for change and for
betterment in the coming election.

It is meaningless for us to complain about our Parliamentarians and the Government, if we do not first discharge a simple but sacrosanct duty of choice.

Let us all take the time to look into the beautiful but expectant eyes of our children, and of the children of many others for whom we care. The future of our nation is meant for them. But millions of them cannot vote. They put their fate in our hands. They rely on us not just for their present living and support. They rely on us, too, to vote for a better future for them.

And after discharging our duty to vote, we must continue to be vigilant, and ensure that our elected representatives account for their actions, and make good their promises.

I humbly suggest to you that change and betterment are not empty dreams, if all of us play our respective parts. I invite you, and I urge you, to answer my appeal as set out above.

Thank you.

From a friend:

Assalamu'alaikum! Guten Tag! Good morning!

Wasssalam.

PRU 12 Campaign

From a friend: Can UMNO win: Yes but at what cost?

Umno cannot win by being ‘Cekap, Bersih, dan Amanah’. The phrase ‘Cekap, Bersih dan Amanah’ is never used anymore because it elicits contempt and outrage in a Malaysia where the public feels lied to and cheated for the last 20 years.

In a civilised country, the party that wins does so by delivering the goods - better education and healthcare systems, transparent governance, open tenders, independent judiciary, competent prosecution teams, clean police, honest ministers, dependable anti-corruption agency, safe helicopters, etc.

Umno cannot win by delivering what the public wants.

The main reason is that the party cannot reform. Its leaders are either unwilling or unable to reform its patronage networks. It does not suit the leadership to reform the party political patronage system as it will upset the power equation and status quo within the party. Leaders at the top got there by climbing up via those same patronage networks. These elite network members expect to be paid in cold hard cash, business licenses, land, logging concessions, government contracts, and other goodies using state resources and taxpayers money.

As leader-patron you get to decide who gets what, and thereby ensure you get more votes than the other guy in any party elections, and so remain the leader. Why would you want to reform your meal ticket?

Without money politics, unity within the party will vaporise rapidly as voter loyalty naturally follow the highest bidder. Whoever can offer or pay the most gets to stay at the top of the party hierarchy. Whoever threatens to reduce corruption and reform the party political patronage network risks being voted out of power by his own party colleagues and lower party leaders.

Intra-party contests are strictly for more money and power, and has nothing to do with ideology. This has been the case since Dr Mahathir Mohamad took power over 20 years ago. The public has finally come to understand that Umno cannot reform because it is not in the interests of the leaders nor their elite patronage network supporters to reform.

If so, neither can the component parties in BN nor the government machinery reform. In fact, no reform is possible unless Umno reforms its party patronage system. The public perception is that our leadership and government has been rife with corruption, crony ism, nepotism for the last 20 years.

Immoral values, and corruption have a contagion effect. No one is going to stop being corrupt when they see their leaders and superiors getting obscenely rich with no ‘big fish’ getting caught. It is hardly surprising that every Malaysian aims to accumulate as much personal influence and wealth as is necessary to likewise become a ‘big fish’ that can never be prosecuted.

Rampant corruption is the characteristic hallmark of all doomed economies. The current system is morally debilitating, and the common people have problems deciding what is right or wrong anymore. The problem of corruption reached enormous proportions under Mahathir's reign, and we have seen no significant attempts at reform.

Under the present system, when common people report wrongdoings committed by their superiors and political elites, they themselves get hauled up under the OSA and ISA instead of the police and attorney-general examining the allegations in open court.

We must unite to make our leaders stamp out the ills of our society. We do not want to be another resource-rich basket-case like Sierra Leone and Burma nor a resource poor basket-case like the Philippines or Niger. When our oil runs out in 10 years time, what will we do then?

Government banditry where the elites prey on the common people and the poor must stop. Corruption impoverishes all of us - Malays, Chinese, Indians, Dayaks, Ibans, Eurasians. The extent to which our ruling elites will reject reform is the extent to which they will insist on using ethnic divisions to divide and rule. If they cannot offer ‘Cekap, Bersih dan Amanah’ then you can bet anything that they will play up ‘Ketuanan’ and apartheid.

This is the Malaysian dilemma; the refusal by our corrupt, over-privileged filthy rich elites to reform the patronage system and their insistence on dividing and ruling such that the ‘rakyat’ fight each other rather than work together to stamp out corruption whilst our crooked elites get even richer.

PRU 12 Campaign

From a friend :The Sins of the Government of the day

Corruption

If the prime minister means what he said about wiping out corruption at all levels of government, he should have immediately made the ACA accountable to Parliament instead of to him. He didnt....and the result is here for all to see. You want examples...here goes....a) Rafidah Aziz (although it happened during TDM's watch but she should still be prosecuted as the then AG has said that there is a prima facie case.......) b) the highway concessions...(why was it not revealed...therefore....corrupt practice....) c) the crooked bridge....why do we have to pay more than the actual cost....loss of earnings may be....... d) the Matrade building........nobody got chopped...the list goes on....

Slogan: Work with me

Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, the people working with you are in jail, i.e. the whistleblowers. Rather than sending them to jail, would it not be right for the authorities to treat this as invaluable feedback to improve the system? A person like Irene Fernandez is doing the government a favour by letting them know what had gone wrong with the system. I believe a note of thanks and apology to the whistleblowers would be in order followed by unconditional release.

It's a sin to be smart

Children with outstanding results in their Form 6 continued to be denied places in our local universities. Non-Malay parents who are poor have no choice but to stop their children's education and have them joined the workforce. Those lucky ones, whose parents are better off financially are leaving for overseas studies, draining not only our foreign exchange but creating a brain drain as well, especially at this time of our nation's growth.

Integrity
Intentionally left blank.

Education

The standard of our education system has declined to such an extent that our universities, which were once held in high esteem, are nothing more than over expanded colleges or high schools.

Now they have decided to bring English back into the system by having Maths and Science taught using this language. Is it not a case of too little too late? While we are now trying to get a foot hold on the English language, America is already preparing itself for the next language wave - Mandarin. The Chinese are simply setting up English tuition centres everywhere..

They say its FREE........how come I have to fork out RM$400 ++ for my daughter who is in form 3.....

Religious freedom

Oh yes, we do enjoy religious freedom but then why has the Catholic church in Shah Alam been barred from building despite approval given by the state government? Even a party like PAS allowed a Buddhist temple to be built beside a mosque in Kota Bharu. And why are schools no longer allowed to conduct religious classes when Muslim students are allowed to do so? Islam teaches us to be fair.

Public funds

As a common bumiputera, I do not enjoy perks from the government. I work hard, earn a decent salary and then pay my taxes. But what irks me most is that my hard-earned money has gone to the building of the PM residence in Putrajaya. The question is - is it really necessary to live in such a palace-like abode?

A new jet?? Where is the Global Express used by TDM?

Show the people you are the people's prime minister by spending taxpayers’ monies wisely.

Short changed

We have been ripped off so many times that I have lost count. Here are some that come to mind:

Rip off #1: TOLL.The toll collections are a ruse to help someone to make money. After collecting millions from the rakyat, the traffic jam instead of getting better has gone from bad to worse. As far back as 1990, we already foresaw that there was no way the traffic problem could be solved by just improving a short stretch of the road.

Rip off #2: I am convinced that the National Service scheme will end up in the graveyard just like the Rukun Tetangga and Rakan Muda programmes. If 11 years of education cannot bring students together, what hope that they will be united during a few months in camp? If the government truly believes in a united Malaysian society, the first step is to disband all racial parties.

Moreover, NS activities appear to resemble the activities carried out by the Scout movement. Wouldn't it be cheaper than to make it mandatory for all students to join uniform movements in school rather than spending such a huge sum of money on this programme?

Rip off #3: Tabung Haji – with more than 3 million depositors and RM6.1 Billion in assets and cash you cant even get the basic requirement (for the Hajj performance)free from TH.The Indonesians get free jackets, kain ihram, bags and suitcases and other accessories. And they dont even have TH!! As for their investments and the subsequent embezellment (ask our Nasyid singer...Ahmadi Hassan) thats for another day..

Rip off #4: KWSP – 8.5 million depositors and RM131.5 Billion – how much dividend did you get??? for umpteen years!!!!

Rip off #5: The Suqiu crisis . Realising that the support from the Malay community will take a sharp dip in the 1999 election, the cabinet agreed to the 14 points raised by Suqiu so as not to lose the Chinese votes as well. One year later, the former PM reneged on the undertaking and crucified honourable men on an auspicious day like the Merdeka Day by linking them to the likes of terrorists, al-Ma'unah, etc. Where were the Chinese-based parties, in particular the MCA, at this moment of need?

Rip off #6: The Lingam video. Different strokes for different people. It is a shame to say the least. It is this defined moment that I realise our leaders just simply do not have the moral fibre to lead the nation.

Kempen PRU 12

Setiap persidangan agung Umno, menampakkan fenomena pemikiran politik Melayu.

Selepas persidangan, tiada follow up.

The reason is not why but to do and die

iv. kasih sayang nya terhadap negara "down under" sehingga kan rumah

membuka banyak sangat koridor koridor sehingga raayat jelata mungkin
tersesat untuk berjalan di dalam nya

vi.
campur tangan dalan urusan negara

a. Kebucoran / Runtuhan bangunan Parlimen setelah berjuta
b. Price overshoot for the Klang FTZ (harga pembelian tanah
c. Bangunan MITI that have a price overshoot and delay in
handing over of several years

i. anak anak kita ,untuk masa depan mereka
ii. cucu cucu kita , untuk menyambung kehidupan mereka
iii.
jalan allah

Takbir!!!! Allah Hul Akbar!

Let's put a smile on our faces

Significance of Names

Since history began, the Chinese always believed in the significance
of one's name. They have developed a very comprehensive system of
naming one's children as it is believed that the name of a person
strongly influences one's destiny and fate. Astrologers, fortune
tellers, academics and monks are consulted when choosing a name for
the new born. The other cultures, however do not really believe in it
and tend to brush it off as superstition. Whether you believe it or
not, however, the other cultures are not spared of this correlation.
For example, the Chinese surname LEE (or LI) is associated with power
and success such as Lee Kuan Yew, Lee Teng Hui (former Taiwan
President), Li Peng ( China 's ex PM), Li Ka Shing (HK tycoon) and LEE
Iacocca - once Chrysler's chief, and Lee Van Cliff, the actor.

One very good example is Lee Iacocca, whose first nameIACOCCA stands for:

I
Am
Chairman
Of
Chrysler
Corporation
America

Coincidence? ..........

Look at the following familiar examples:

MAHATHIR ( Malaysia 's PM):

My
Assets
Halved
After
The
Hit
In
Ringgit !

SUHARTO (Ex president ofIndonesia) :

Should
U
Have
Additional
Rupiahs,
Throw
Out!

BUSH (American President) :

Beat
Up
Saddam
Hussein !

CLINTON :

Call
Lewinsky,
I
Need
The
Oral
Now !

However, no one can beat this latest casualty in bad naming :

OSAMA:

Oh
Shit,
American
MissilesAgain!!!

You must read to believe and see

Well guys, the date for our GE is near so lots of thing comes out for you to ponder.......!

Oh man, I love this country
I called it the land of political absurdity
Full of ludicrousness amid stupidity
First in the pipeline is Mr. Badawi
The country's fifth Perdana Menteri
Hailed from notable ulama's family
In that spirit he created a new Islam Hadhari
The so-called modern Islam resembling Turkey
Some touted it as Islam Ada Hari
When the original Islam turned awry.

He loves to travel in style like big celebrity
Making grand entrance in any opportunity
So he insisted a private jet paid by Treasury
He got it despite hullabaloo by bloggers community
He said the government didn't purchase it out rightly
The government is leasing it from SPM, a GLC
For him, this is a good strategy
By doing that he thinks he can save money
Oh yeah, he thinks people believe his story.

Perth seems to be his favourite city
Last December he opened Nasi Kandar Puteri
And then went on sailing trip with Todt of Ferrari
Back home worst flood hit Johor Kota Tinggi
17 died and 90,000 evacuated in that tragedy
But yet, the jet setting PM was outside the country
He might use remote control key.

Badawi has son-in-law by the name of Khairy
He married Badawi's daughter Nori
Recently both blessed with the baby
That has longest name in the country
I can only remember the last name, Khairy
This young chap is Pemuda Umno deputy
Claimed to have "protection" from Mr. Badawi
Has a big wish to be PM by age of forty
So he is gathering support from Putera and Puteri
At the same time accumulated wealth aggressively
Through ECM Libra and some crony
Media was at his helm through NST
Now he has potent tools – money, media and machinery
And his father-in-law alias Perdana Menteri

Meanwhile Hisham is putting up a new strategy
His keris wielding attracts flak of Malay supremacy
It backfires especially to Chinese community
His reasoning draws conclusion that he is puny
Najib is not convince Hisham to be his deputy
Najib may consider a big mouth Nazri
Provided that Rosmah is okay to work with Nazri
You know why lah, Najib takut bini.

We don't have to elaborate the story
You have to come here to enjoy the absurdity
We have quite a few funny ministers and MP
Such as hilarious Work Minister Mr. Samy
Before Hindraf he represents Indian community
The longest serving minister that heads MIC
In press conference he got agitated quite easily
When Umno conference was held on Deepavali
He said no "open house" as sign of hostility
He twisted the decision maybe after talking to Indrani
This MIC leaders share similar trait and personality
The latest one was Cameron Highland MP Mr. Devamani
He has broken ranks with fellow BN MP
When he accused government not doing enough for Indian community
After meeting with BN Whip, he regretted and say sorry.

Let me continue my story
Well, you probably have heard it already
About the biggest anti-government rally
Not exactly same scale as 98 Reformasi
On Nov 10 more than 40,000 flooded the city
To protest unfair election practice against EC
Dirty ruling party tactics are legendary
Short-notice on Election Day is customary
Just a day before Pak Lah was basking in glory
In annual affair of UMNO general assembly
Full of hypocrisy and puji-memuji
Pak Lah shouted it loud "don't challenge me"
Despite threats and warning from Pak Lah and Khairy
People are defiant and take no heed from Badawi
They chanted God is Great, Daulat Tuanku and Reformasi
November is a month of illegal assembly
School holidays thus parents are quite free.

The rally was given wide publicity
The rally was headlined in Al Jazeera and BBC
Foreign media questioned our brand of democracy
Water cannon and tear gas were fired indiscriminately
Umno leaders are in denial state naturally
Such as Zam who head the Info Ministry
Zam was trembling uncharacteristically
In an interview that becoming laughing stock in the country
Scrambling for words and chew out frantically
He can't censor it as we are in digital technology
You can just Google or YouTube easily.

Well that is one example of political absurdity
What do you expect from half past six menteri
Some are in complete ignorance and dreary
Some will resort to unthinkable publicity
Giving broom as reward never in history
Some will slaughter cows in parliament for kenduri
To celebrate the matrimony of our own Sleeping Beauty
Another stupid joke by backbencher MPs.

You can't find this in your country
A journalist like Michael Backman will agree
So many things to write for your Daily
No wonder he keeps coming here for juicy story
Malay tabloids prefer to write about ghost and celebrity
That's saleable among ordinary
Maybe they got sick of constant spat by political party
They prefer to idolise people like Siti or Mawi
Do you think they care who is their MP?

How to bankrupt the nation, Malaysian style

From a friend of a friend

I refer to the local daily on 31st Dec 2007 quoting , our DPM
saying "The opposition's promises to reduce oil prices if it were to
form a government will only bankrupt the country".

Datuk Seri DPM, I would like to share with you on the same subject on
bankrupting the nation on a bigger perspective. I came from a very
poor family. My mother who lost her husband at the age of 35 years old
had never remarried but maintained the role of a father and mother in
a house. With having no land, no education and a meager income of
RM145 dollars a month, we came out of poverty simply because of mother
persistence and pressure that we must work to better ourselves.

My mother serves the role of the financial manager at home, managing
cash flow and debt. On several occasion we had to borrow a bag of rice
or flour but it she makes a point of repaying back. How does she goes
about and bringing up 4 successful children despite the poor financial
knowledge. The one that she thought me is to make the most out of a
Ringgit.

In this context, I can say the present government financial, purchases
policy and contract actually is the one that will bankrupt the nation.
The government is effectively paying RM 3 for something that cost RM1
when in actual fact by virtue of volume, it could get it at the price
of 80 cents. Let us look at the major transaction that took place in
the last couple of years

a. Purchase of Sukhoi Jets using an intermediary company belonging to
former Malacca Chief Minister - RM 1.8 bill. I was informed by the
company staff (Nor) , who's also the Dato key person that the company
made a clean profit of RM 900 mill of which is distributed to various
funds held by UMNO top people. Logic will tell you that, in the
history of this country military purchases it has always been on G to
G basis and not trough a private entity who has no expertise except
being a middle man. In any country it is the same. Don't give a cock
and bull story that the supplier is giving the commission and they are
the one who insist that they used an intermediary. We have the money,
if we tell the supplier we only deal with principal, they will follow
- those with money are Kings. They are the one calling the shots. When
we can buy 24 aircraft, we just buy 12 and we include other mumbo
jumbo's in the package.

b. Purchase of submarine. Again the same argument applies.

c. RMN ships - We spent RM4.5 bill but where are the ships. How come
money is being paid to builder who has no experience and it cost 3
times more than buying direct in overseas. In actual fact only 2 ships
were built and money for 6 ships has been paid. From what I gather in
the media, the documents pertaining to this payments has disappeared
at the company level as well as at Ministry of Finance level. What a
coincidence.

d. MAS share purchase. Mahathir one says " Melayu mudah lupa". .. well
Tun .. sorry to say not all Melayu has short memory. The government
paid RM8.00 per share for 30% share that is held by Tajuddin Ramli
when the prevaling market price is RM3.50. First of all the government
is the golden shareholder in the company which has certain powers as
dictated by the share holder agreement. There wasn't a need to pay
RM8.00 for a company with NAV of less than RM1.00 (at that time). Even
if has to accumulate enough share to effectively control the company,
they should have bought from the various government related agencies
like EPF who has 20% shares and other agencies like LTAT and the from
the general public. When the prevaling market price is RM3.50, I think
if the government offer RM5.00 every single citizen who hold shares in
the company will sell the share to them. Instead they chose to pay
RM8. What a joke.

Mr. DPM, I believe before we can claim that others will bankrupt the
nation, the government of the day must examine its own records. It has
clearly shown that it is in the process of bankrupting the nation with
a one sided agreement with Toll concessionaires and other contract's.
What I have mention is only the Tip of the Iceberg. What intrigues me
is that when the DG Audit can pick up purchases of cameras and other
small things but they failed to look at bigger purchases.

Between you & me

I don’t give two hoots about mega projects but I do care about the increasing price of goods at my local market.

I don’ give two hoots about our man in outer space but I do care about the rationing of my cooking oil.

I don’t give two hoots about your luxurious yacht but I do care about my children school fee.

I don’t give two hoots about your airplane but I do care about the raising cost of my children bus fare.

I don’t give two hoots about your minister sex scandal but I do care about the raising crime rate.

I don’t give two hoots about your man‘s wife saga but I do care about the diminishing size of my “roti prata”

The Friday Sermon Part II

Well guys , its not exactly the actual Friday sermon in the mosque but in the evening after the maghrid prayer. That friday afternoon I received a SMS from our dear old friend Pei Ah Chong inviting me to Madah Madrasah for a tazkirah and following that will be the normal free food in the “dulang”. That’s Ah chong I knew, and every time if there were interesting happenings at his Madrasah he would sent me an invitation to attend. And as for me, free food and some alternative quality entertainment, I will go anywhere even to Timbuktu.

This time an interesting character was invited to give the tazkirah , its Datuk Seri Anuar Ibrahim, I have never meet and see this guy in person, so that night I was surprised to see him in this humble surrounding. What can I say about him, in pinnacle of his career I doubt that he knew where Madrasah Madah was and I had always heard that he was jet setting to America, Europe and UK in an Armani suit and people would put out a red carpet to welcome him but now his driver was asking me how to get to a Dewan in Kg. Koh.

Let us go back to the topic that he talked that night, its about “Kuasa, Ilmu and Kekayaan” which I presume that he have all the three within his grasped at one time. He went to say that these three, in the right hand will bring good to the people and also in the wrong hand will cause a disaster to the country. Politician, they can talk about anything they want but what’s in my mind at that moment was, what have he done? when he’s up there with all the three, power, knowledge and richness in his hand okay he’s not the number one but what have he done for the ummah.

He also explained about the video clip of him having a” veil veil” session during one of the by-elections but he did not delved in the “joket” session that he had some time ago. He talked about people who told thousand of lies , but what about the arsenic poisoning that he supposed to have in prison , what about the video that showed him well and running about but when he was out of the door he had to be helped walking.

Hippocrates that is what they are !!!!

Points to ponder

Got it from a friend of a friend......

What Happens in Heaven ?

I dreamt that I went to Heaven and a Malaikat was showing me around.
We walked side-by-side inside a large workroom filled with Malaikats.

My Malaikat guide stopped in front of the first section and
said, "This is the Receiving Section. Here, all petitions to Allah
said in prayer are received."

I looked around in this area, and it was terribly busy with so many
Malaikats sorting out petitions written on voluminous paper sheets
and scraps from people all over the world.

Then we moved on down a long corridor until we reached the second
section.

The Malaikat guide then said to me, "This is the Packaging and
Delivery Section. Here, the graces and blessings the people asked for
are processed and delivered to the living persons who asked for them."

I noticed again how busy it was there. There were many Malaikats
working hard at that station, since so many blessings had been
requested and were being packaged for delivery to Earth.

Finally at the farthest end of the long corridor we stopped at the
door of a very small station. To my great surprise, only one Malaikat
was seated there, idly doing nothing. "This is the Acknowledgement
Section," my Malaikat friend quietly admitted to me. He seemed
embarrassed "How is it that there's no work going on here?" I asked.

"So sad," the Malaikat guide sighed. "After people receive the
blessings that they asked for, very few send back acknowledgments".

"How does one acknowledge Allah's blessings?" I asked.

"Simple," the Malaikat answered. "Just say, "Thank you, Allah."

"What blessings should they acknowledge?" I asked.

"If you have food in the refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof
overhead and a place to sleep you are richer than 75% of this
world. "If you have money in the bank, in your wallet, and spare
change in a dish, you are among the top 8% of the world's wealthy.

"And if you get this on your own computer, you are part of the 1% in
the world who has that opportunity."

Also .....

"If you woke up this morning with more health than illness .. You are
more blessed than the many who will not even survive this day.

"If you have never experienced the fear in battle, the loneliness of
imprisonment, the agony of torture, or the pangs of starvation .. You
are ahead of 700 million people in the world.

"If you can attend a mosque meeting without the fear of harassment,
arrest, torture or death you are envied by, and more blessed than,
three billion people in the world.

"If your parents are still alive and still married .. You are very
rare.

If you can hold your head up and smile, you are not the norm, you're
unique to all those in doubt and despair."

Ok, what now? How can I start?

If you can read this message, you just received a double blessing in
that someone was thinking of you as very special and you are more
blessed than over two billion people in the world who cannot read at
all.

Have a good day, syukur and count your blessings, and if you want,
pass this along to remind everyone else how blessed we all are.

Attn: Acknowledge Dept.: "Thank You Allah! Thank you Allah, for
giving me the ability to share this message and for giving me so many
wonderful people to share it with".
